Mushroom Portraits (EN)

Our mushroom portraits are designed to help you expand your knowledge of mushrooms step by step. This does not include edible mushrooms only .

In most of our mushroom portraits, we focus on one mushroom species. You will also get to know the doubles and learn the basics of classifying the characteristics that are typical for the respective genus. The tour starts at 10 a.m. at the specified location with a one-hour theoretical introduction.

Afterwards, we will drive to the forest by sharing cars or walk directly from the starting point to find the respective mushroom ourselves. You will apply the knowledge you have acquired in theory. There is no guarantee that the mushrooms will actually appear, as the growing conditions cannot be planned, but the chances are good. In any case, you will immerse yourself in the forest for approx. 1.5 hours and offer your senses an experience of nature away from the stress of everyday life.

Mushrooms found on site will be discussed and identified.

Note: The aim is not to fill baskets, but to impart knowledge of the species and the role of mushrooms in the natural cycle.

We will give you tips on where to stop for a bite to eat in a nearby restaurant afterwards.
